Happy New Year to everyone who know and visit Feckenham Wylde Moor reserve.
Many of you will know how FWM looks at different times of the year but for those who have just found this special place this winter I thought that you might like to see the comparison between winter and summer...this photograph is taken from the gate in the management area looking across Hill Piece and shows the meadow in summer before any mowing/grazing has taken place and, below, what it looks like in winter after mowing and grazing. This view and the entire reserve takes on a different aspects as the year develops and so it is well worth visiting at regular intervals to follow the changes.
